About the artist
Klibansky creates images and objects where apparent optimism carries a more complex undercurrent.
Working across painting and sculpture, he investigates the distance between what we see and what an image implies. Utopia and dystopia, beauty and unease, monumentality and vulnerability coexist within the same visual language.
His sculptures bring this tension into physical space. Familiar figures become meticulously finished, larger than life objects whose reflective surfaces draw the viewer and surrounding architecture directly into the work.
